The workshop in Gospić began the final week of field workshops on rural tourism, which will continue this week in Šibenik (Wednesday), Zadar (Thursday), and Karlovac (Friday).
The first of four two-hour educational workshops was held in Gospić on Tuesday, with which the Croatian Rural Tourism Association will complete this year's cycle of 40 workshops on rural tourism held across Croatia. The workshops are being conducted with the financial support of the Ministry of Tourism and Sports, while this week's workshops are being organized in cooperation with county tourist boards and local action groups.
The workshop discussed the legislative framework and challenges, new tourism trends, the significance of cultural heritage and the importance of regular digital communication. Participants were also presented with the Digital Rural Tourism Catalogue, which enables rural tourism service providers to promote themselves free of charge on domestic and international markets via a website. croatia.hr Croatian Tourist Board. The catalog includes agricultural holdings that have registered wineries, tasting rooms, farms, picnic areas, agrotourism, rural accommodation facilities and the like.

The association invites all rural tourism service providers from the above-mentioned counties, i.e. farmers who also provide hospitality or tourism services, to attend the workshops. Representatives of local tourist boards and associations are also invited to the workshops, which are held in accordance with the applicable epidemiological measures.
