The 4rd session was held Tourist Council of HTZ at which it was adopted Decision on the selection of projects of regional tourist boards in the touristic underdeveloped area and continent, according to which a total of 45 projects were approved with an amount of almost 4,3 million euros.
It was also adopted Decision on the selection of projects of associated tourist communities, according to which an amount of almost 3,4 million euros was approved for 97 projects.
In addition to the above, the session also adopted Decision on awarding grants of small value intended for the development of programs of destination management companies Thus, a total of 320 thousand euros have been secured for 32 DMK programs.
"At today's session, important decisions were adopted, through which we continue to systematically encourage a more balanced and sustainable development of tourism in Croatia. Through 7,7 million euros for tourist board projects, but also through support for destination management company programs, we are directly investing in the development of higher quality and more meaningful tourism products. In this way, we are even more strongly encouraging the connection of destinations, the development of new reasons for arrival, but also additionally strengthening continental tourism, which has a large, still underutilized potential. We continue to direct Croatian tourism towards quality, sustainability and greater added value, all with the aim of further strengthening Croatia's competitiveness as a year-round destination.", he said Kristjan Staničić, director of the CNTB.
Competition for the selection and appointment of the director of the Croatian Tourist Board coming soon
Also, at today's session, a decision was adopted on the imminent announcement of competition for the selection and appointment of the director of the Croatian Tourist Board, including competition for directors of CNTB representative offices abroad, which will cover the markets Slovenia, Austria, Czech Republic, Hungary, Sweden and China.
Applications for the tenders will be accepted 15 days from the date of their publication.
At today's session, it was also adopted Annual report on the implementation of the CNTB work program for 2025, according to which expenditures last year amounted to 52,5 million euros, which represents 95% of the planned amount, noting that the aforementioned difference relates to tourism board projects that have been postponed for implementation in the first half of 2026.
