With Job wheelchairs, the sea at the Pula beach is accessible even to children with the most severe disabilities

One of the two well-maintained city beaches in Pula is the Stoja Beach, located within the peninsula of the same name.

There is also a valuable beach facility built in 1936, protected as a cultural asset, and today a small window into Pula's rich past.

In July last year, the City of Pula received a request to equip Pula's beaches with special Job strollers so that all children, including those with disabilities, could freely enjoy the benefits of the sea.

On behalf of parents of children with disabilities - but also integration in the full sense of the word - to the City of Pula Rozalija Javoran submitted requests related to the adaptation of the Stoja bathing area, which is currently being renovated, the portal reports. Istra24.

According to the aforementioned media outlet, Javoran has information that the City will purchase a special wheelchair that many parents of disabled children have requested.

These are special strollers that parents can use to bring less mobile and immobile children from the beach directly into the sea.

Job Cart they have been on the market for almost 30 years and are present on almost all beaches in Italy - available for free use by all people with reduced motor capabilities, writes Istra24.

As the Istrian media outlet has learned, the carts will be purchased as part of the renovation of the beach, costing just over two thousand euros, and it still needs to be decided where and how they will be stored, in order to protect them from devastation. For now, the Stoja beach will have them.
