According to data from the Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS), in March 2020, commercial accommodation facilities recorded 104 thousand arrivals and 290 thousand tourist overnight stays, which is a 76,8% decrease in tourist arrivals and a 69,3% decrease in tourist overnight stays compared to March 2019. This negative result is of course a consequence of the COVID-19 pandemic and the measures taken against the spread of the disease caused by the new coronavirus.
