Although this is only his third edition, Moto meet Klis, the largest Dalmatian biker party has already positioned Klis and Kočinje brdo as one of the most popular motorcycle destinations.
On Friday and Saturday, July 19th and 20th, more than 120 motorcycle clubs and around ten thousand bikers and visitors from Croatia and all over Europe are expected. Among them are friends of the Klis club Free Riders, fans of great entertainment, just like the one announced today in the Artillery Tower of the Klis Fortress. The frontman of Zabranjeno pušenje was also there Davor Sučić or more popularly Sejo Sexon, who can't wait to sing on stage on the hill above Klis on Friday.
"I'm happy you invited me. I'm glad you chose rock'n'roll, it also goes with a certain worldview. There's some symbolism in all of that. Rock'n'roll, the fortress, bikers and their lifestyle. That's why festivals like this are important and we always support them. The plan is to fit into the whole atmosphere and entertain people. The motorcycle meeting in Klis is brilliantly strategically placed, regardless of the summer heat. It's not that bad in the evening, even I can handle it. I'm glad you started this, especially because it has a humanitarian aspect.", said Sejo.
Fierce guys with big hearts
Before the popular No Smoking concert on Friday on Kočinje Brdo, bikers will be warmed up on stage by Juane Hot Chilli Melone - Red Hot Chilli Papers cover band from Korčula, and on Saturday before the performance of the legendary Atomic Shelter, a fierce warm-up, Zagreb's Ballbreakers band - AC/DC cover band, has been announced.
"This time too, we have prepared a rich two-day program, and traditionally on Saturday around 18 pm we will be driving a parade towards the Klis Fortress, and that is definitely the most beautiful image with which we want to make other drivers aware of our presence and thus promote safe driving. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the patrons and sponsors who have enabled us to give the Klis Moto Meet the title of the most attractive biker party. Although it is a Moto Meet, everyone who wants to feel a touch of our world is welcome.", he said Mijo Smodlak, president of Free Riders, a motorcycle club from Klis known for its humanitarian work, which has 26 members from 20 to 70 years old.
This year too, the income from the two-day event, in agreement with the Municipality of Klis, will go to those who need it most, so the Mayor of Klis thanked the Free Riders. Jakov Vetma.
"It's no small thing for our municipality and it's not small money. I also remembered some deceased members of the motorcycle club, who would be happy to see how the club functions today. And only someone with a lot of courage and top organizational skills can organize and design a motorcycle meeting at a location like Kočinje Brdo.", said the mayor of Klis, inviting everyone who loves great music and spectacular entertainment to come to Klis on Friday and Saturday.
