The Tourist Board of the City of Šibenik is issuing a Public Call for Nominations for Events for Grants from the Program "Support for tourism events in 2022". The subject of the public call is the allocation of non-reimbursable financial resources of the Tourist Board of the City of Šibenik for events of local, regional, national and/or international importance, as the main reason for the arrival of tourists to the destination.
Events that contribute to the development of tourism, cultural and historical heritage, increasing the quality and quantity of the tourist offer, developing congress, cultural, sports and other selective forms of tourism, developing content that enables the improvement of quality and extension of the tourist season, increasing catering and other tourist traffic, especially in the pre-season and post-season periods, promoting the city of Šibenik at home and abroad and creating a recognizable image of tourism in the city of Šibenik are supported.
Grants will be approved for the organization and realization of cultural, entertainment, sports and wine-gastronomic events, and grants can be awarded and used exclusively for events held in 2022.
The funds are intended for co-financing the costs of purchasing goods and services for the direct implementation of the event, namely co-financing the event (musicians' costs, technical costs, event promotion costs, event participant costs, other costs), the creation of promotional brochures and promotion of the event on the internet, the purchase of working/consumable materials related to the organization of the event, rental of space for the event, accommodation costs, and travel costs of performers and external collaborators, based on contracts, as well as other needs for the purpose of holding the event.
Legal and natural persons, event organizers, i.e. companies, crafts, sports clubs, cultural and other public institutions and citizens' associations, can apply for support funds.

The criteria for approving grants are originality, recognition and quality, the project's contribution to the development of the tourist offer of the city of Šibenik, the character of the event, the time and place of the event, the tradition of holding the event/sustainability - long-term effects, sources of financing for the event, i.e. their co-financing by other entities, the participation of interested entities from the public and private sectors in the organization and implementation of the event, and representation in domestic and foreign media.
