Split-Dalmatia County Tourist Board provides owners of family accommodation with free education and improvement, all with the aim of helping them overcome market turbulence, changes in regulations, getting to know new trends, looking at market interests, but also ways to make their prices and service as accessible as possible to modern promotion channels, and to enrich them with new quality.
Director of the Tourist Board of the Split-Dalmatia County Joško Stella explains how, as a tourist board, they have educated between 6,000 and 8000 renters since the start of free education in 2013.
"The cycle that we announced and presented today is the largest set of trainings to date, and will be held at 15 locations throughout our county. What is important for us to emphasize is that our trainings are led by Barbara Marković, who is also the president of the Croatian Family Accommodation Association, which means that we have relevant people with whom we have been working for many years. We provide quality trainings and in that sense we have an exceptionally good feedback by the renters themselves" adds Stella.
In the county area there are about 26 000 landlords who are involved in tourism, and many of them want to learn more about how to rent an apartment with quality, provide professional service and increase the quality of service and accommodation. Organized by the Split-Dalmatia County Tourist Board, and in cooperation with local tourist boards, free training courses are planned this year on 15 different locations.
The plan is to start the training on February 26.02. with the island of Brač, and continue to hold them according to plan and program every weekend at the following locations:

The trainings will include modules on the rights and obligations of private renters, how to be a good host in tourism with the presentation of new activities in the destination, and advertising on social networks. The lecturers are long-term educators Barbara Markovic, president of the family accommodation association and education manager, and her colleagues are Tomislav Zović - IT expert and owner of a digital marketing company, To Ana Brničević, lawyer specializing in landlord rights.
Applications will be available via links on the pages of local Tourist Boards, social networks and the TZ County website, and all interested parties are invited to apply as soon as possible, as the number of places will be limited and in accordance with the prescribed measures.
