It was held 6th session of the Croatian Tourist Board's Tourist Council on which it is Kristjan Staničić appointed by the unanimous decision of the members of the Council director of HTZ for a four-year term. This officially concludes the competition for the selection and appointment of the director of the CNTB, which was open until March 30 this year, according to the CNTB.
"For me, re-election as the director of the Croatian Tourist Board primarily represents a responsibility towards Croatian tourism, all tourism workers, partners, but also to Croatia as a whole, given that tourism is one of our most important economic sectors. I would like to sincerely thank Minister Glavina and all members of the Tourist Council for the trust they have shown me. Together, we have successfully responded to numerous challenges over the past few years, and I am particularly pleased that we have further strengthened Croatia's international position as a quality, safe and sustainable destination that attracts guests throughout the year."", he said Stanicic.
He particularly emphasized that in Croatia today, compared to 2017, when he was first appointed director of the Croatian Tourist Board, eight million more overnight stays are being achieved, i.e. the figure has been exceeded. 110 million overnight stays on an annual basis, in which numerous campaigns and promotional activities carried out by the Croatian National Tourist Board on domestic and foreign markets played an important role.
