Permanent protection of the Jabučka kotlina: marine biodiversity is recovering, and fishermen benefit from an increasingly abundant and valuable catch. Win-win for everyone
WWF, the world organization for the protection of nature, participated last week (from 2 to 6 November) in the 44th session of the General Fisheries Commission for the Mediterranean (GFCM), to which all Mediterranean countries are parties. As reported by WWF Adria, during the session, a decision was made to introduce special fishing regulations in the Jabuka Basin, which have so far temporarily protected fishing grounds.
