Foreign tourists can no longer visit Hagia Sophia for free

An entrance fee is also charged to Muslim visitors who come to pray but do not have Turkish citizenship.

Turkey has started charging a 25 euro fee (up from 500 euros) to foreign tourists visiting the Hagia Sophia, Istanbul's famous sixth-century monument that was controversially converted into a mosque in 2020.
