The most popular local dessert, Samoborska kremšnita, is now legally protected as an indigenous Samobor, or Croatian, brand. Namely, according to the decision of the Ministry of Culture and Media of January 18, 2021, the traditional Samoborska kremšnita, the transmission of the art, practice and tradition of the pastry craft, has been granted the status of intangible cultural heritage and will be entered in the Register of Protected Cultural Heritage.
