Croatia Airlines (CA) transported more than 405 thousand passengers, what is for 22 place or about 74.000 passengers more than the previous year, which is a record result in the company's history.

The current crisis caused by the war in the Middle East and the consequent large increase in jet fuel prices has caught the company in a phase of strong operational growth, at a time when the national airline is implementing the largest project in its history, replacing its fleet with new Airbus A220 aircraft.

In the new circumstances marked by pronounced volatility in energy prices and complex geopolitical developments, Croatia Airlines is continuing with this project, as well as adjusting operational and commercial activities in order to alleviate pressures on business as much as possible.

Fuel represents one of the largest operating costs in the aviation industry, and recent market disruptions have led to significant price increases.

Instabilities in energy markets directly affect the operations of all airlines, including Croatia Airlines, and it is expected that the current situation will have an impact on business results in the coming period, as is the case in the entire global aviation industry, which is extremely dependent on energy prices and the stability and security of the international environment.

In such circumstances, crisis management mechanisms are applied, which implies continuous activities on optimization of operations, careful management of costs and income, taking into account the maximum preservation of the stability of the flight network and business as a whole, they state from the CA and add that geopolitical developments in addition to instability in the energy markets are directly reflected in the availability and prices of spare parts for aircraft, which are particularly negatively affected by the growing needs of the military industry.

"All of the above makes it necessary to implement adjustments to operational and commercial plans in the newly emerging crisis conditions. Flight planning and ticket pricing continue to be based on a broader set of market factors such as demand, competition and seasonality, with Croatia Airlines striving to maintain competitiveness, a stable flight schedule and reliable connectivity. For decades, Croatia Airlines has continuously ensured Croatia's connectivity with Europe and the world, confirming its key role in the mobility of citizens and the development of Croatian tourism and the economy, especially in challenging and unpredictable circumstances when it puts all its capacities at the service of the public interest, which further confirms the importance of the role of the national airline that Croatia Airlines has successfully and proudly fulfilled since the establishment of Croatian independence. they conclude from CA.
