In the first quarter of this year, guests in the European Union booked short-term accommodation through online platforms such as Airbnb, Booking or Expedia for 129,6 million nights, Eurostat announced. This is an annual growth of 4,8 percent and as much as 34,5 percent compared to the first quarter of 2024. Interesting jumps were achieved in January and February compared to the same months last year, when growth was 16,3 and 16.3 percent, respectively.
