The LIFE program serves as the European Union's primary funding mechanism for environmental and climate actions.
The European Commission is awarding more than 233 million euros to finance 12 new strategic projects across Europe through LIFE programmeThese projects aim to improve environmental and climate goals Union as part of the European Green Deal.
These strategic initiatives are expected to attract significant additional funding from various EU sources, including agricultural, structural, regional and research funds, as well as contributions from national governments and private sector investment.
The funds provided for these twelve projects will help Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Ireland, Spain, France, Italy, Lithuania, Austria, Poland and Finland meet their national environmental and climate targets, thereby increasing their contribution to the green transition.
