The first project of the Southern Istria Cluster - Pet Friendly - was presented

Recently, the Southern Istria Cluster created a new strategic development document until 2027, in which the first project is the branding of the entire destination of southern Istria suitable for pets or "Pet friendly".

Just two weeks later, the South Istria - Pet Friendly project was presented at the Pula Tourist Office, which was jointly implemented by the tourist boards of the southern Istria cluster (Pula Tourist Office, Medulin Tourist Office, Fažana Tourist Office, Vodnjan Tourist Office, Ližnjan Tourist Office and Marčana Tourist Office), with the financial support of the CNTB Association Fund.

Given the trends and high demand for pet-friendly accommodation, the project was implemented with the aim of branding the entire southern Istrian destination as pet-friendly.

Since more and more tourism service providers have realized how important the pet friendly segment is in the development of a tourist destination, the promotion of the project will be realized through online advertising (website www.southistria.com which is also in the process of social networks) and through a brochure that was printed in an edition of 15.000 copies. The brochure contains all the essential information for pets.

"As part of the "pet friendly project" with which we are now starting, we invite everyone who provides services related to pets, as well as accommodation and catering facilities, to contact their tourist community and become part of the project" she stated on behalf of the Southern Istria Cluster Sanja Cinkopan Korotaj, otherwise the director of the Pula Tourist Board.

All catering and accommodation facilities that have expressed interest in participating in the project will be given specially branded water containers and paper ecological bags, while unified signs will be placed on the beaches, according to the Southern Istria Cluster, and that for the purposes of promotion, photography and filming were carried out at various locations that will be used in the promotion of the five friendly destinations of the Southern Istria Cluster. 

Inside the brochure and on the tables for the beaches, there will be QR codes through which it will be possible to connect to the website for more detailed information and offers within the cluster of southern Istria. In order to promote other segments of the tourist offer within the cluster, all other joint upcoming projects such as trail and outdoor offers, gastronomy, culture, etc. will be published on the Internet.
