Croatian tourist agency presents the entire Croatian tourist offer at the fair f.re.e, which is held in Munich from February 14th to 18th.

This is a fair for a wide audience, and its uniqueness lies in the fact that it is held in Bavaria, the part of the country from which the largest number of German guests come to Croatia. As part of the Croatian stand, even 25 co-exhibitors including tourist boards, national parks, hoteliers, agencies, and transport companies.

"Germany is our most important tourist market, accounting for around 22% of total overnight stays in Croatia. This is a significant figure that we respect, and presenting the entire Croatian tourist offer at this fair is extremely important to us. The partners we have met with so far are satisfied with the current trends, bookings and announcements for this year. Despite a challenging year, Germans will not give up their vacations and travel. We will soon be appearing at the fair in Berlin in March, which will be another opportunity to further strengthen our position on the German market.", said the director of the Croatian Tourist Board Christian Stanicic, adding that Croatia is among the top five summer vacation destinations for Germans.

The Croatian delegation will also meet with representatives of Fti, the largest Bavarian tour operator and the fourth largest in Germany, Bavarian Football Association, a football association with almost 1,6 million members and over 23 thousand football teams, and with representatives LBO, a large Bavarian bus association with which they will discuss possibilities for cooperation in promoting Croatian destinations.

"The desire to travel among Germans is still present, and this is confirmed by the flow of travel bookings, which is at satisfactory levels, despite the economic crisis in Germany. Our competing destinations are feeling some pressure, while we are trying to maintain good contacts and cooperation with our most important partners in the market, because this is the only way we can repeat the good results we have recorded in this market in recent years. The largest share in the results will be individual guests, who are also the most numerous, and we are also pleased with the increased demand for group travel.", she concluded Nera Milicic, head of the Croatian Tourist Board branch in Munich.

During the fair, in collaboration with Croatian Chamber of Commerce, A tasting of top-quality Croatian wines and cheeses was organized, as well as tastings of Trogir rafioli and Makarska torta, and performances by the Tempet Folklore Society.

"After being a partner country here in Munich last year, this year Croatia is presenting the best of what it has to offer - from fascinating culture, to numerous outdoor activities, quality accommodation, which includes some of the best campsites in Europe, and not least - top-notch wine and gastronomy. The Bavarian market is extremely important to us and that is why our goal is to strengthen our position, but also to upgrade it in the context of year-round travel by Germans to Croatia.", said the Minister of Tourism and Sports Nikolina Brnjac, who also met with the Bavarian Minister of Food, Agriculture, Forestry and Tourism on this occasion Michaela Kaniber with whom she discussed the importance of continuing cooperation in the field of tourism, the new Croatian Tourism Act, but also the connection between agriculture and tourism, the importance of using local products in order to stimulate small and medium-sized enterprises, and the economy as a whole.
