According to system data eVisitor, which includes tourist traffic generated in commercial and non-commercial facilities and nautical charter (eCrew system), in Croatia in the period from January to the end of June more than 7,6 million arrivals i 29,5 million overnight stays, which compared to the same period last year represents equalizing the results in arrivals and overnight stays, It was announced today at a press conference at the premises of the Croatian Tourist Board.

From that it is Adriatic 27,1 million overnight stays were achieved, which represents a result at the same level as last year, while the continent Together with the city of Zagreb, 2,4 million overnight stays were achieved, which represents a growth of 1 percent.

"Given all the geopolitical circumstances and market disruptions, we are satisfied with the results achieved in the first half of the year, which are at the same level as last year. According to Eurostat data for the first quarter, Croatia is the fourth destination in Europe in terms of overnight stays, leaving behind competitors such as Greece, Spain, Italy and Portugal. We have adapted our promotional activities to the current situation and the challenges we face, which has yielded good results. We believe that, with a smart pricing policy, we will successfully complete this second half, the main part of the tourist year and the post-season."", he pointed out Tonči Glavina, Minister of Tourism and Sports.

When we segment Croatia's tourism result by counties, in the first half of the year, the highest number of overnight stays was recorded in Wife (8,7 million overnight stays), Split-Dalmatia County (5,3 million overnight stays) and Kvarner (4,7 million overnight stays), and looking at destinations in Dubrovnik,  Rovinj, Poreč, Zagreb and Split.

"The results achieved confirm the quality and competitiveness of our overall tourism offer, but also the importance of continuous promotional activities that we carry out in key source markets, with which we further strengthen the visibility of Croatia, stimulate interest in travel outside the peak season and promote the diversity of our offer. In doing so, we monitored trends in the tourism market and adjusted communication messages within the campaigns carried out accordingly. We also placed special emphasis on cooperation with strategic partners, namely airlines, tour operators, agencies and transporters, for which this year, together with the system of tourist boards, we secured over 6 million euros for cooperation with around 70 partners. In this way, we directly influenced the increase in the number of airlines to our country, of which we have 330 this year, or 74 more than last year.", he said Kristjan Staničić, director of the Croatian Tourist Board. 

Seen according to markets, during the first six months, the most overnight stays were achieved by guests from the market Germany (5,6 million overnight stays), Croatia (4,2 million overnight stays), Slovenian (2,9 million overnight stays), Austria (2,5 million overnight stays), Poland (1,6 million overnight stays), of the UK (1,4 million overnight stays), Czech Republic (1,1 million overnight stays), Now (1 million overnight stays)  i dr. 

When looking at the results achieved by type of accommodation in the commercial segment, in hotels, which account for 14 percent of commercial capacity, accounted for 47 percent of commercial arrivals, in camps, which account for 20 percent of commercial capacity, achieved 15 percent of commercial arrivals, while in household facilities, which account for 52 percent of commercial capacity, accounted for 27 percent of commercial arrivals.
