Wooden churches at sunset, lakes, rural scenes, Medvednica on the horizon and moments of everyday life are just some of the motifs presented at the exhibition "Photo Zagreb County", opened in the premises of the Zagreb County Tourist Board in Zagreb.
The opening of the exhibition also marked the award ceremony for the authors of the fifth edition of the photography competition, which brings together amateur and professional photographers year after year with the aim of capturing the spaces, motifs and experiences of Zagreb County.
The awarded photographs bring different perspectives on the county: from natural landscapes and cultural and historical heritage to tradition, rural motifs, eno-gastro experiences and active spending time in nature. It is precisely this breadth of motifs that shows how much Zagreb County can be read through the details, the atmosphere of the place and the scenes that the authors record from their own perspective.
According to the expert committee's assessment, first place was won by Dominik Papić, whose two photographs achieved the same, highest number of points. Third place went to Davor Vidak for a photo of fishermen on Lake Rakitje, which shows the stay in nature and the recreational value of the area.
