The municipality of Tkon is preparing for the new tourist season with promotional video materials that are available on the project's YouTube channel Adriatic Arch. The video materials, which were created as part of the project, aim to promote the tourist destination Tkon, but also the cross-border area of Croatia and Italy, with a special emphasis on maritime heritage.

Tkon is a fishing village on the island of Pašman, where small shipyards still build custom-made wooden boats and where fishing equipment is still produced. Although Tkon is a relatively small municipality in terms of area and population, it boasts beautiful beaches, sandy coves, and above all - a coastline surrounded by crystal-clear sea. The western and southwestern sides of the island are marked by a steep coast, full of cliffs and cliffs, which is intersected by coves and small, accessible bays. This is why the municipality has a pronounced Robinson Crusoe tourism.

The municipality's intangible and tangible heritage has been preserved and nurtured through the organization of various events. Thus, maritime heritage, skills and crafts are nurtured through the traditional regatta "Đir po konalu" and through the kaića race as part of the Fisherman's Night. Fans of active tourism are increasingly visiting the municipality and participating in various events that are designed to their "taste", such as the island products fair, the Pašman half marathon and the unique island event - Škraping running.

The development of the Arca Adriatica tourist product rests on the establishment of a methodology for the systematic preservation of the maritime heritage of the border area. The foundation for the construction of the recognizable Arca Adriatica marine product is certainly newly adapted Maritime Heritage Interpretation Center located in the very center of Tkon. With this center, the Municipality of Tkon and the entire island receive content worth visiting throughout the year as a concrete form of achieving the second important goal of this project - extending the tourist season. The central interpretative theme of the Center is the kunjka, which connects the rich past and present of Tkon's maritime heritage and depicts life on the island through the permanent exhibition "Kunjka raised the Kunjane". In the outer part of the center, restored old traditional boats are presented, and accompanying information is available on information boards placed around the harbor.

The project "Protection, promotion and tourist valorization of the Adriatic Maritime Heritage" or ARCA ADRIATICA for short, is part of the third priority axis "Environment and Cultural Heritage" of the INTERREG Italy-Croatia 2014-2020 program. Implementation of the project officially began on January 1, 2019, and will last until December 31, 2021. ARCA ADRIATICA is a kind of continuation of the successfully implemented EU projects Mala barka and Mala barka 2, as the project continues to work on joint protection, promotion and tourist valorization of the Adriatic maritime heritage.
