From June 28th to August 30th, travel from Slavonia to Dalmatia by night train

This summer, Croatian Railways is introducing seasonal night trains that will connect Slavonia with Dalmatia every day, offering passengers an affordable travel option.

The line will operate from June 28 to August 30 2025.

The train from Osijek departs every day at 18:48, arriving in Split at 8:56 a.m. The return line departs from Split at 21:11, arriving in Osijek the next day at 12:18.

Passengers from Vukovar can leave by train at 18:18, the train passes through Vinkovci at 19:01. Arrival in Split is at 8:56, while the return from Split is organized at 21:11, with arrival in Vinkovci at 10:59 and in Vukovar at 11:36.

Tickets are available at HŽPP box offices, Tisak kiosks (with a 40 percent discount) and online - where the price is an additional 10 percent cheaper.

Route map Osijek–Split purchased online costs 21,40 euros, and reserving a seat costs an additional 1,06 euros.

Passengers have access to carriages with seats and sleeping cars where the use of the bed has a separate price:

• 9 euros in a compartment for three people
• 13 euros in a compartment for two people
• 25 euros in a single-person compartment

Tickets for sleeping cars can only be bought at the ticket office, but it is possible book and online via e-mail address: rezervacije@hzpp.hr, but no later than 48 hours before travel.

It is necessary to specify the date and route, number of people, train number and type of accommodation, after which you will receive a preliminary invoice, and after payment, a ticket that the passenger can print out or show to the conductor on their mobile phone.

Pupils, full-time students and pensioners, with the required valid ID, are still entitled to free transportation by train.
