The Croatian tourist scene is richer for another prestigious hotel address. It has opened its doors in Novi Vinodolski. Mövenpick Hotel & Residences Kvarner Bay, the first resort of the famous Swiss brand Mövenpick on the Croatian coast, which brings a combination of luxury, top-notch gastronomy, wellness and year-round vacation.
Located right on the coast of the Kvarner Bay, just half an hour's drive from Rijeka and about two hours from Zagreb, the new resort is designed as a place that will bring together hotel guests, residence owners and the local community throughout the year.
With the opening of this complex, Croatia has gained a new luxury destination that is not aimed exclusively at summer guests, but wants to become a place of meeting, relaxation and enjoyment during all seasons.
Mediterranean flavors and a view of Kvarner
The terrace occupies the centerpiece of the resort. 180° Lounge, which offers a panoramic view of the Adriatic Sea. The space is designed as a daytime and evening gathering point – from the first morning coffee to cocktails at sunset.
Special emphasis is placed on gastronomy, one of the trademarks of the Mövenpick brand. In the restaurant Affamat Italian classics prepared with local ingredients are served, while the restaurant Fig It offers Mediterranean specialties in a relaxed atmosphere throughout the day.
Guests also have access to a swimming pool. Alba Signature, intended for adults only, family zone Sea Breeze Food & Fun te Eight Lounge, a multi-purpose space for events and gatherings.
Resort for the whole family
One of the special features of the new resort is its strong focus on family vacations. For the youngest guests, there is a Little Birds Club, a play area, creative workshops and fun activities, while teenagers have their own corner tailored to their interests.
The club will not only be intended for hotel guests. Throughout the year, it will also be open to the local community through the organization of birthday parties, workshops, and seasonal events.
One of the largest wellness centers in the region
Later this year, the resort will open Salterra Wellness & Spa, which will be among the largest hotel wellness centers on the Croatian coast.
The center will include a heated indoor seawater pool, an outdoor pool, ten different saunas, yoga and Pilates areas, a panoramic gym, and numerous facilities dedicated to relaxation and a healthy lifestyle.
The wellness concept is based on a combination of the natural benefits of the Kvarner climate, proper nutrition, movement and rest.
Big investment and new jobs
General Manager of the resort Igor Nekic He pointed out that the goal was to create much more than a classic hotel.
"Mövenpick Kvarner Bay is designed as a gathering place for family, friends and the local community, where superb gastronomy, hospitality and shared experiences will create memories throughout the year", said Nekić.
The project is led by a Slovenian company ECM Partners, and the total investment value will exceed 250 million euros, making it one of the largest tourism projects in recent years on the Croatian coast.
The opening of the resort creates an environment 200 new jobs, a large part of which will be year-round.
Luxury residences by the sea are also on sale
In addition to the hotel area, the resort also includes 304 luxury residential apartments which allow owners to use all hotel facilities and services.
The first phase of sales has already started, and apartments in the first row to the sea are offered at a starting price of €345.000. Property owners can include their properties in a professional rental program managed by the resort, generating income when they are not staying in them.
A new chapter in Kvarner tourism
With the arrival of Mövenpick, Croatia got the first resort of this well-known international hotel brand, which today operates in more than 40 countries around the world and is part of the group Accor.
The opening of the resort confirms Kvarner's increasingly strong position on the map of luxury tourism and further enriches the offer of the region, which has seen significant development of premium accommodation and year-round tourism in recent years.
