Scientists from the Institute of Tourism in Zagreb, in collaboration with Prof. Dr. Sc. Vuk Tvrtko Opačić from the Faculty of Science, University of Zagreb, have established a new model for calculating the tourism development index of local government units. The main motive for creating the new model stems from the need for a high-quality and precise definition of the level of tourism development of local government units.
