"The location of the park on the very German-French border, next to the cities of Freiburg and Strasbourg, makes it an ideal place for presenting Europe, its countries and their cultures. We are honored that after the tenth anniversary of Croatia's accession to the European Union, and especially in the year of Croatia's entry into the Schengen area and the Eurozone, a whole dedicated to Croatia is opening in such a large entertainment destination. This is a great opportunity to further promote our country in the heart of Europe.", said the director of the Croatian National Tourist Board Kristjan Staničić.

Each unit in the park represents a European country in a creative and original way, through which the visitor gains insight into the main characteristics of that country through typical architecture and gastronomic offerings.

"I am extremely pleased that a space dedicated to Croatia is being opened, especially if we know that Europa-Park is very popular in Germany, but also in surrounding countries, and this will certainly have positive effects on the promotion of Croatia in Germany, Switzerland and France. The Croatian space provides us with an ideal opportunity to creatively come into direct contact with new potential clients and families who are our primary target group of guests," he concluded Romeo Draghicchio, director of the HTZ Representative Office in Germany.

Europa-Park is also the largest German hotel resort with 5.800 beds and 2.000 additional accommodation units in Rust itself, a large number of restaurants, bars, conference halls, and a 23-hour daily show program for visitors.

The park has won the Golden Ticket Award 8 times, while the "Rulantica" part of the park was declared the best water park in Germany.

He also expressed satisfaction with Croatia's inclusion in this project. Tonči Glavina, State Secretary in the Ministry of Tourism and Sports. "We are extremely pleased that Croatia will be included in the success story of Europa-Park as a new thematic unit that will open in 2024. In this way, millions of guests of one of the world's best amusement parks will have the opportunity to see and learn about some of the many sights of Croatia, which make it special and unique. I am sure that this new thematic zone will be extremely attractive and attract numerous visitors, thus encouraging them to come to Croatia and personally experience everything that our country has to offer, from natural, cultural to historical wealth. Along with all the other news that will make tourist travel easier from this year, and our country has never been closer, from entering Schengen and the eurozone and the construction of the Pelješac Bridge, with which we have connected the whole of Croatia by road, this presentation is yet another confirmation of how attractive and desirable a destination we are.", Glavina concluded.
