Croatian tourist community has begun implementing promotional activities in the most important source market for Croatian tourism, Germany. This is about ""early booking" campaign that will be active until the end of March on the strongest booking platforms on the German market, such as Expedia.de, Urlaubspiraten.de, Weg.de and Reserereporter.de.
"In certain markets, the trend of earlier booking of trips is coming to the fore again, for example in our most important broadcasting market, Germany, where we decided to implement this campaign. Our goal is to position our country as one of the top foreign destinations for Germans, and we are sure that many of them will book their trips much earlier this year than was the case during the last two years, in which, due to the corona virus pandemic, the so-called last minute demand was very pronounced", he said Director of the Croatian Tourist Board Kristjan Staničić, adding that the campaign plans to achieve almost 10 million impressions.
As part of the campaign, the emphasis will be on those tourist products for which the greatest interest has been expressed on the German market, namely sun and sea, nautical, active tourism and cultureAn additional special feature of this campaign is that the promotion of Croatia takes place through landing page which are exclusively dedicated to our country and which are located on platforms where users can immediately book accommodation, which positively affects the growth of reservations during the pre-season.
Let us add that in Croatia last year, according to data from the system eVisitor, 21,2 million overnight stays were achieved from the German market, equaling the result from the record year 2019.
