Visiting some of France's top tourist attractions - from the Palace of Versailles to the Arc de Triomphe - could cost more for visitors from outside the EU from next year as a result of new powers given to national museums by President Emmanuel Macron. Macron announced in January that the Louvre would start charging higher entrance fees to visitors from countries outside the EU from 1 January 2026.
