Financial support for events: Hvar opens Public Call for 2026

The Hvar Town Tourist Board has announced Public call for nominations of events, manifestations and projects for grants from the "Support for the Development of Tourist Events" program in 2026.

Through this program, the Hvar Town Tourist Board plans to provide financial support for events that contribute to the promotion of Hvar as an attractive tourist destination, with an emphasis on the quality and sustainability of the offer, next year as well.

Objectives of the support program

Grants are awarded to events that are a motive for visitors to come to the destination and that contribute to:

• improving and enriching the tourist product and offer of the town of Hvar,
• raising the quality and promotion of the tourist offer, cultural and historical heritage of the town of Hvar,
• the development of cultural, sports, wine-gastronomic and other selective forms of tourism,
• increasing the catering and other tourist offer in the pre-season and post-season (from January 1 to May 15 and from October 1 to December 31, 2026),
• promotion and creation of a recognizable image of the town of Hvar based on the quality of the tourist product.

Types of events that can be nominated

Financial resources will be available for the organization and implementation of:

• cultural and artistic events,
• sports and recreational events,
• congresses, conferences and/or professional meetings of scientific, professional, economic and other content,
• eno-gastronomic events,
• entertainment, traditional and other events.

Deadline and method of application

Event organizers submit the application with all documentation from the Public Call to the Zagreb Tourist Board in printed form, as follows:

• by mail, by registered mail, marked "For the Public Call for Support for Events in 2026 – do not open", to the address Tourist Board of the City of Hvar, Trg sv. Stjepana 42, 21450 Hvar
• separately in a sealed envelope marked "For Public Call for Support for Events in 2026 – do not open", to the address: Tourist Board of the City of Hvar, Trg sv. Stjepana 42, 21450 Hvar

Applications with a mail date of October 29, 2025 are also considered.
