E-mobility: Call for installation of charging stations before the tourist season

Croatian National Association for E-Mobility Circuit has launched a new initiative aimed at expanding the network of charging stations for electric vehicles ahead of the upcoming tourist season, with the aim of strengthening infrastructure and further positioning Croatia as a modern and green tourist destination.

"We invite caterers, apartment owners, hotels and other businesses to join this initiative and raise their infrastructure to a higher level before the tourist season. Installing charging stations today is no longer an additional service, but a competitive advantage that directly affects the choice of destination and guest satisfaction.," they order from the Circuit.

A growing number of international accommodation booking platforms already allow filtering of properties according to the availability of EV charging points, making charging infrastructure an important element in choosing accommodation and tourist destinations.

The need to strengthen infrastructure is confirmed by new data from the European Automobile Manufacturers Association ACEA, according to which fully electric cars will account for around 10% of the total number of vehicles sold by the end of 2025. a quarter of the market, while vehicles that have a battery in them account for as much as two-thirds.

Estimates suggest that Europe will need around 8,8 million public chargers by 2030 so that the network can keep up with the rapid growth of electric mobility.

The Current Circuit Association emphasizes that infrastructure development for charging electric vehicles is one of the key prerequisites for the further growth of e-mobility, but also an important element of sustainable development of tourism and the economy in Croatia.

According to estimates, more than 100,000 people are expected on Croatian roads this season. 80.000 electric vehicles which makes the availability of filling stations one of the key factors in the competitiveness of the tourism sector.

The circuit will provide advisory support to all interested business entities and landlords, including recommendations for the optimal type of charging station (AC or DC), financing models, and technical solutions tailored to the specific needs of the facilities.
