Croatia Airlines welcomed its eighth new Airbus A220-100 aircraft in Zagreb today, with a capacity of 127 seats. The newest aircraft has the registration number 9A-CAQ and is named Pula, and like all previous new aircraft used to renew the existing fleet, it arrived directly from the Airbus factory in Mirabel, Canada.
The Croatian national airline is entering the summer season with eight new Airbus A220 aircraft, flying on 55 international scheduled routes.
President of the Management Board of Croatia Airlines Jasmin Bajić stated that the arrival of the eighth new Airbus A220 aircraft is another important step in the implementation of the entire fleet renewal project, the largest development project in the decades-long history of Croatia Airlines:
"The arrival of each new aircraft is a special moment for us because it marks concrete progress in the renewal of the fleet, and thus in the further development of the company, but also of Croatian tourism and the economy in general. With eight new aircraft in the fleet, we enter the summer season operationally stronger, and the modern and more efficient Airbus A220 aircraft enable us to further strengthen our network of international routes, increase the quality of service for our passengers, and develop the national airline more sustainably and competitively in the long term."
