Croatia Airlines continues with the largest fleet renewal project in its history. The Croatian national airline welcomed its eleventh new Airbus A220 aircraft in Zagreb today, marking another important step in the company's modernization.
The latest aircraft type Airbus A220-300 has a registration plate 9A-CAU, has a capacity of 149 passenger seats, and it was named Slavonski BrodLike previous new aircraft in this series, it was delivered from Airbus's factory in Mirabel, Canada.
With the arrival of the new aircraft, the Croatia Airlines fleet now numbers 11 new Airbus A220s, of what it is nine A220-300 aircraft i two A220-100.
By the end of 2026, delivery is expected to be three new Airbus A220 aircraft, which will further accelerate the process of replacing the existing fleet with more modern and efficient aircraft.
The fleet renewal project, the largest investment in the history of Croatia Airlines, should be completed during 2027.. Then the Croatian national carrier will have a total of 15 new Airbus A220 aircraft, among which will be 13 A220-300 models i two A220-100 models.
The new generation of Airbus A220 aircraft brings greater comfort to passengers, lower fuel consumption and a smaller environmental impact, and represents a key part of Croatia Airlines' development strategy and strengthening its competitiveness on the European market.
