Vinistra in Poreč once again confirmed its status as one of the most important and attractive wine events in the region, bringing together numerous winemakers, experts, wine lovers and visitors from Croatia and abroad over the weekend.

During the three-day event, Vinistra offered a combination of top-quality wines, a rich eno-gastro offer and a distinctive Istrian atmosphere. The city was filled with visitors throughout the weekend, and the atmosphere in Poreč further confirmed the significance of the event for the tourism and wine promotion of Istria.

In the Žatika hall, visitors had the opportunity to taste the best Istrian Malvasias, Teranas and numerous other top-quality wines presented by renowned winemakers. Special emphasis was placed on the quality and continuous development of the Istrian wine scene, which year after year confirms its competitiveness and recognition on the international market. The organizers point out that the event has long gone beyond the framework of a classic wine fair and represents a place for meetings, exchange of experiences and promotion of the Istrian way of life.

After the official part of the program, the fun continued at numerous after parties throughout the city. With DJ performances, music and full catering facilities, Poreč was one of the main centers of entertainment and food and wine events in the region throughout the weekend.

Poreč achieved excellent tourism results with a total of 5.757 arrivals and 20.706 overnight stays, confirming the importance of this manifestation for pre-season tourist traffic and additional promotion of the destination.

Among the TOP 5 markets in terms of the number of arrivals and overnight stays, guests from Austria, Germany, Croatia, Slovenia and Serbia stood out.

The largest number of overnight stays was achieved by guests from Austria with 5.074 overnight stays and 1.570 arrivals, while njemački guests spent 3.659 nights. A significant contribution to the overall results was made by domestic guests with 1.404 arrivals and 2.891 overnight stays, as well as guests from Slovenia with 2.084 overnight stays. Among the five leading markets were guests from Serbia with 736 overnight stays.

The achieved results confirm that Vinistra, as one of the most recognizable wine and food events in the region, year after year further strengthens the recognition of Poreč as an attractive destination in the pre-season and attracts a large number of domestic and foreign visitors.

Vinistra 2026 once again showed how the combination of top-quality wine, gastronomy, music and Istrian hospitality creates an event that attracts an increasing number of visitors every year and further strengthens Istria's position as one of the most famous wine destinations in this part of Europe.
