Synergy of plate and destination: 12 restaurants turn Lošinj tradition into a market standard

A gastronomic experience on Lošinj awaits all lovers of traditional specialties and local cuisine this year.

On Lošinj from April 30 to May 31, 2026. already traditionally held 18. Lošinj Cuisine Festival, where 12 Lošinj catering establishments offer menus with the label 'Taste of Vitality', specially prepared specialties of traditional Lošinj cuisine! 

That's not just a number, it's clear evidence. destination management in action. When such a large number of restaurants, from taverns to steak houses, unite under a common brand such as "Taste of Vitality", a strong message is sent about the cohesion and quality of the entire island.

This shows that Lošinj does not appear as a collection of isolated objects, but as a complete gastronomic destination who lives her story of vitality.

The focus is on dishes that include nutrients to promote vitality and health with emphasis on the way of cooking and preparing food.  These are nutritionally supervised gastronomic delicacies that are in line with the Mediterranean and Lošinj lifestyle. Which is in harmony with the entire philosophy of Mali Lošinj, and therefore different from others. 

Thus, island herbs, fish, crabs and shellfish from the Lošinj waters, and island lamb are at the center of this gastronomic story that unites authentic flavors with nutrition for vitality and outdoor activities that Lošinj offers.

Lošinj hereby once again confirms that it is a pioneer in the niche linking of health tourism and gastronomy.

What sets this event apart from classic gastronomic gatherings is its duration - a full month, from April 30th until the end of May, Lošinj is living under the sign of 'Taste of Vitality'. This format allows visitors to explore the offerings of all 12 participating restaurants without rushing, while ensuring the destination continuous tourist traffic and strong content throughout May.

Exclusive The opening of this year's 18th Festival will be held on April 30, 2026 at 18 p.m. on the Mali Lošinj Square of the Republic of Croatia. when Lošinj restaurants, winemakers and students of the Ambroz Haračić High School will present their specialties, and the title holders will present their regions of Kvarner  European Regions of Gastronomy for 2026. as part of the opening of this gastronomic event.

The European Regions of Gastronomy, of which Kvarner is the proud holder this year, under the leadership of IGCAT, work to improve the quality of life through the preservation and promotion of unique culture and food - they encourage innovation, education, sustainable tourism, the economy, and care for the community and the environment.

The various specialties of this year's Lošinj Cuisine Festival can be tried until the end of May in the following restaurants: Artatore restaurant, Baracuda tavern, Borik beach bar, Corrado tavern, Deveron Gastro Pub, Diana steak house, Pinia restaurant (Veli Lošinj Health Resort), Mare tavern, Noštromo restaurant, Silvana restaurant, Veli žal restaurant and Za Kantuni restaurant.
