The opening of the 5* Jadran Heritage Hotel and restaurant JAZ by Ana Roš on the Poreč waterfront brings a new gastronomic and boutique hotel concept to the heart of the old town. Through such subtle storytelling, a stay in the Adriatic goes beyond classic hotel accommodation and represents a contemporary interpretation of one of the most important architectural and social points of Poreč, strongly rooted in the identity of the place, its gourmet offering and the culture of living by the sea.

"By opening the Jadran Heritage Hotel, we wanted to bring back to life one of the most recognizable buildings on the Poreč waterfront and create a space that is simultaneously dedicated to guests and the city. Jadran is conceived as a lively meeting place, where history, contemporary design and top-notch gastronomic offerings naturally complement each other. The collaboration with Ana Roš and the concept of the JAZ by Ana Roš restaurant further confirm our long-term focus on developing Poreč as a year-round gourmet destination.”, he said Željko Kukurin, President of the Management Board of Valamar.

Ana Roš pointed out that JAZ by Ana Roš in Poreč has a special place in her personal and professional story:

"JAZ by Ana Roš was conceived as a space without rigid rules, a place where people gather for food, conversation and a sense of community. Istria has been a part of my culinary language since the very beginning and I see JAZ Poreč as a natural continuation of that story, a combination of sea and land, tradition and modernity, a restaurant that is simultaneously lively, relaxed and serious in what it does."Roš stated.

Opening Jadran Heritage Hotel and Restaurant JAZ by Ana Roš is part of Valamar's wider investment in the development of Poreč as a premium gourmet destination, through carefully selected collaborations with the top names of the international and regional culinary scene and the development of authentic concepts that position the city as a meeting place of haute cuisine and the Mediterranean lifestyle.

In the broader context of destination development, such projects clearly show the direction in which modern hospitality is developing in the Mediterranean.

Boutique hotels with a clear identity, strong storytelling and superb gastronomy are increasingly becoming key elements in the positioning of destinations in the premium segment of tourism.

The combination of an authentic location, renovated historical architecture, contemporary design and top-notch gastronomy shows that a hotel today is not just a place of accommodation, but a platform for interpreting the identity of a destination.

For Poreč, but also for the wider Istria region, projects such as the Jadran Heritage Hotel and the JAZ by Ana Roš restaurant further confirm the strategic direction of development towards a year-round gourmet destination where gastronomy, culture and tourism act as a single product. It is precisely such concepts that are increasingly shaping the international perception of destinations - not only as places of rest, but as meeting places of top cuisine, local culture and an authentic Mediterranean way of life.
