Namely, Plitvice Lakes National Park has once again found itself among the world's top sustainable tourism destinations!

At the Sustainable Tourism Forum 2025 held yesterday in Expo City Dubai, it was officially confirmed that the story "Feel the pulse of the forest", included in the prestigious list of Green Destinations Top 100, nominated for an award in the category Environment and climate for the year 2025. 

This nomination represents another major international recognition of the continuous work on preserving natural values ​​and developing sustainable, educational and responsible tourism. The "Feel the Pulse of the Forest" program emphasizes the importance of respecting nature, understanding forest ecosystems and bringing visitors closer to the unique processes that shape our park.

This nomination shows that Plitvice Lakes is not only a natural wonder, but also an example of responsible management and environmental care.", emphasizes Tomislav Kovačević, director of the Plitvice Lakes National Park, adding that the Plitvice Lakes National Park continues to invest efforts in nature protection, visitor education and responsible promotion of the destination, and thanked all employees, partners and visitors who contribute to the preservation of this unique natural treasure.

Finalists in all categories will be announced at the ITB Berlin 2026, the largest and most influential travel trade fair in the world, where Plitvice will once again have the opportunity to shine as a leader in sustainable development in tourism.
