At today's meeting of the Tourist Council of the Split-Dalmatia County Tourist Board in Split, a decision was made to select Ivana Vladović for the director of the Split-Dalmatia County Tourist Board for a new four-year term.

This decision confirms the continuity of the work done so far and the continuation of the strategic direction of the development of Central Dalmatia as an authentic, high-quality and sustainable Mediterranean destination.

In the coming period, the emphasis will be on further improving destination management, developing authentic tourism products and experiences, and strengthening the positioning of Central Dalmatia on the domestic and international tourism market. Special focus will be on projects that connect local identity, lifestyle, natural and cultural heritage, and contemporary trends in tourism, with the aim of strengthening the recognizability of the destination.

The Prefect of Split-Dalmatia County, Blaženko Boban, congratulated Ivana Vladović on her election to a new term and emphasized the importance of continuity in the work and further development of the destination:

"I am pleased with the continuation of successful cooperation and the continuity of quality work that will enable further development and promotion of our county. I believe that the Split-Dalmatia County Tourist Board will continue to successfully represent Central Dalmatia as one of the most desirable Mediterranean destinations, recognizable for its authenticity, quality and hospitality, in the coming period.""Boban pointed out.

When discussing Ivana Vladović's work during her previous term, it is important to point out that Central Dalmatia began to move more clearly away from the classic image of a destination that lives almost exclusively on the sun, sea and summer season. The focus increasingly shifted to what gives the destination real depth: the Dalmatian hinterland, local gastronomy, outdoor activities, authentic experiences and a way of life.

The best example of this trend is certainly Dalmatian Brunch. Not as another gastronomic project, but as a serious destination concept that connects caterers, local foods, tradition, producers, the identity of the area and the everyday life of Dalmatia.

The project is important beyond gastronomy itself. It shows how local food can be transformed into a destination branding tool, how a plate can tell a story about people and space, and how the tourist community can and must be involved in product development, and not just stay at the level of promotion. It is also one of the most concrete examples of what we often talk about in Croatian tourism, but rarely systematically implement: connecting tourism with local identity and short value chains.

In this context, projects such as Green Lines, Return to Play, stronger positioning of the Dalmatian hinterland, a new visual identity for Central Dalmatia, and international campaigns, especially in the London market, should also be viewed. The common denominator of all these activities is an attempt to present Central Dalmatia beyond the coast and the main season, through space, people, habits, local culture, and specific reasons for coming.

That is precisely why the new mandate of Ivana Vladović is not just news about the director's re-election, but a confirmation of the direction in which Central Dalmatia continues to develop: less generic promotion, more content; less reliance on the attractiveness of the coast itself, more work on the identity, product and management of the destination.
