Hotel Diaco opens: Đakovo gets a four-star hotel and a congress hall

U Đakovo is open Hotel Diaco, the first four-star hotel in the city and one of the most important new tourist and economic projects in this part of Slavonia.

It is a boutique hotel with 41 rooms and 82 beds, a congress hall for 300 people, a wedding hall with a capacity of 280 people, a restaurant and bar, and a wellness and spa area with a swimming pool.

With the opening of the Diaco Hotel, Đakovo will gain modern, high-class hotel facilities, but also important new infrastructure for the development of tourism, business events and hospitality.

According to Glas Slavonije, the hotel employs around 40 workers from Đakovo and other towns in Slavonia. The investor is the company Strogi centar, owned by Đakovo entrepreneur Ante Raspudić, who points out that although the hotel has four stars, it has all the conditions and characteristics of a five-star hotel.

The opening of the Diaco Hotel is also important in the broader context of development. continental tourism, because it sends a clear message that quality hotel infrastructure should not be tied exclusively to the coast and the seasonal tourism model.

Đakovo is a destination with a strong identity, with a cathedral, a Lipizzaner stud farm, Đakovo embroidery, sacral and cultural heritage, but also a growing potential for events, business meetings and short stays throughout the year. This is precisely why Hotel Diaco should be seen as a new development infrastructure for the city, and not just as another hotel facility.

With a congress hall, wellness facilities, restaurant and location in the very center of the city, the hotel opens up space for a stronger positioning of Đakovo towards business guests, event organizers, cultural programs, smaller congresses, incentive trips and year-round arrivals.
