Croatia Airlines has introduced a new international route in its summer 2026 flight schedule, directly connecting Dubrovnik with Stuttgart, and is highlighting its importance for the Dubrovnik area in cooperation with Ruđer Bošković Airport and the tourist boards of the City of Dubrovnik and Dubrovnik-Neretva County.

Flights on the new Dubrovnik - Stuttgart route will operate daily until October 23rd twice a week, Mondays and Fridays, and the introduction of this line further strengthens the international connection of southern Croatia with one of the most important German markets.

This is part of it, as emphasized by the Director of Commercial Affairs of Croatia Airlines Famous Frog, the continued development of the international flight network of the Croatian national airline, with a special emphasis on connecting Croatian destinations with markets that have strong tourism and economic potential:

"Germany is traditionally one of the most important markets for Croatian tourism, and Stuttgart and the wider Baden-Württemberg area have strong ties with Croatia, both in terms of tourism and economy, and given the large Croatian diaspora. With the new route, we are further strengthening the accessibility of southern Croatia in the summer season and enabling passengers from Germany to arrive in Dubrovnik more directly and simply. At the same time, this route contributes to better international connectivity between Dubrovnik and Europe and confirms the role of Croatia Airlines in connecting Croatian regions with key European markets."

During the summer 2026 flight schedule, Croatia Airlines Dubrovnik, in addition to Stuttgart, will be directly connected to seven more European destinations: Athens, Frankfurt, Munich, Paris, Prague, Rome and Zurich.

Airport Director Ruđer Bošković Viktor Sober believes that the introduction of the direct Dubrovnik-Stuttgart line represents another important step forward in strengthening the international connectivity of southern Croatia:

"In cooperation with Croatia Airlines, we continue to develop a flight network that ensures stable and high-quality accessibility to Dubrovnik throughout the season. We believe that the new line will have a positive impact on overall traffic and further improve the mobility of the residents of our county, thereby strengthening economic and social ties with one of the most important European markets."

Stuttgart is the capital and largest city in terms of population of the German federal state of Baden-Württemberg and one of the most important economic, cultural and transport centers in southern Germany. It is one of the most developed German regions, with strong business, tourist and family ties with Croatia, which makes the new line important for both incoming tourist traffic and passengers traveling between Croatia and Germany.

The director of the Dubrovnik Tourist Board also believes that every new airline route for Dubrovnik is extremely important because it further strengthens the city's international connections and opens up space for higher-quality tourist traffic. Miro Draskovic:

"The Dubrovnik-Stuttgart line is particularly significant due to its strong connection with the German market, which has been among the most important emitting markets for our city for years. We believe that this line will further increase the visibility of Dubrovnik in that German region."

Julijo Srgota, director of the Dubrovnik-Neretva County Tourist Board, expects this line to further strengthen tourist traffic from the German market, but also to create the foundation for a longer-term and higher-quality connection between our county and the Baden-Württemberg region, where a significant Croatian diaspora also lives:

"It is particularly important for us to attract guests with higher purchasing power who are looking for authentic experiences, top-notch wine and food offerings and active holidays, and it is precisely the Dubrovnik-Neretva County that offers exceptionally high-quality and diverse content for such a visitor profile. We believe that this line will further contribute to the visibility of the destination and encourage the growth of tourist traffic throughout the county."
