Quality labels awarded to 8000+ accommodation facilities, specialized shops and tasting rooms in Vinkovci

As part of the third phase of the We Live Destination Vinkovci project, Quality 8000+ labels were awarded to accommodation facilities, specialized shops and restaurants.

As part of the third phase of the project We Live the Destination Vinkovci, the following awards were awarded: Quality labels 8000+ accommodation facilities, specialized shops and tasting rooms.

The project is being implemented with the support of the Croatian Tourist Board and the Vukovar-Srijem County Tourist Board and aims to improve the quality of the offer, standardize products and services, and strengthen the recognizable identity of Vinkovci as a destination.

During this year, the Regulation on Standardization and Branding was developed, the criteria for awarding labels were defined, and training was conducted, interpretive walks were conducted, and activities aimed at developing destination management were conducted.

"We have been developing the project We Live Destination Vinkovci for the third year in a row with a clear goal: to raise the overall quality of the offer, strengthen its identity and create a destination that is recognized for its character and standards. The Quality 8000+ label is the result of defined criteria and continuous work on standardization, education and improvement of the visitor experience. In this way, we create a framework that clearly shows what quality means in Vinkovci and how it is measured. By awarding new labels, we further encourage our stakeholders to continue investing in quality, while at the same time building a strong, credible and recognizable destination identity.", emphasizes the director of the Vinkovci City Tourist Board Martina Matković, emphasizing that the purpose of the system is to bring together all service providers around a common vision, create a culture of quality, and ensure that Vinkovci is a destination that is constantly growing and progressing, in line with the needs of modern travelers.

Tasting rooms - winners of the 8000+ label:  Abelo Tasting Room - tasting room of high-quality hand-made honey and honey products with an educational component i Mederija Ferbežar - Mali podrum, a family tasting room known for its top-quality mead made according to a traditional recipe from local Slavonian honey from its own production

Specialized stores - winners of the 8000+ label: MIKO Concept Store - a specialized store of local products and designer items with a clear identity focus and pointing - a store of domestic bakery and food products with a long tradition.

As part of the awarding of the labels, a lecture was given by a tourism expert Goran Rihelj, owner and editor-in-chief of the only specialized tourist media in Croatia, the portal HrTurizam.hr.

Rihelj presented current trends, changes in guest behavior, and the direction of destination management development to landlords and stakeholders in the tourism sector.

"The quality label is one of the most concrete tools that destinations can use to systematically raise the quality of their overall offer. It clearly rewards those who work above average and with quality: from accommodation to all key stakeholders who shape the tourist offer and the identity of the city. It is they who carry tourism and who, thanks to standardized visibility, will be even more strongly recognized on the market. In the era of accelerated development of artificial intelligence, the Vinkovci 8000+ label is gaining additional importance because it becomes a valid source for AI algorithms that are already differentiating accommodation and services today. Those who invest in quality will automatically be better positioned within the AI ​​ecosystem, which is important in the long term for the competitiveness of the destination as well as for all stakeholders," emphasized Rihelj.
